Pink Saturday

Please stop by and visit our hostes Beverly. http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog/

I was at the grocery store and always have to stop at the magazine section and I was struck at all the pink in the covers, so I naturally whipped out my phone and started taking pics, luckily no one was around...to wonder what the heck is she doing, I didn't want to have to explain.
I've had a very pink week...some of the last of the roses of the season in my garden, I received a fabric order in Kaffe Fassett with some pink dots, I finished my zig zag quilt one row is pink, and I received my doll quilt swap with pinks. More pics and blogs on the two quilts in below posts.
Happy PS everyone, thanks for stopping by.

Doll Quilt Swap 7

Oh my gosh, I received my doll quilt swap 7, Thursday in the mail and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it. I was so surprised, you won't believe it but the night before I received it I had marked it as a fav on flickr. Molly from http://countryhill.blogspot.com/ made this for me, just me, me, me. Molly thank you so much. The colors are perfect, and it is just so adorable, the birds are as cute as can be and the birdhouse...the detail is awesome, the piecing is interesting with the flying geese and everything is perfect right down to the french knot for the birds eye. Molly thank you for your time and thought into putting this little piece of art together, I can't wait to put it up on my wall. This swap has been such a blessing.

My neice turned 4 years old and she had a wonderful little birthday party. My sister made a really cute barbie princess doll cake, and my other sister her mother found all these wonderful disney princess costumes at a garage sale and then her Barbie Car was sooooo cute, she loved that. Great fun being 4!

Doll Quilt Swap 7

This is my first time participating in the Doll Quil Swap. It has been a lot of fun. I probably started an an unusual way, I started with my quilting pattern, that I fell in love with, Raggedy Anne. Then I received the quilt information on how the doll quilt swap when, and received my secret person's name and blog. I have to tell you when I went to her blog, I was so excited because I think she will like what I have in mind to do. Went to ebay and bid on vintage Raggedy Anne fabric and this is what I bought and fussy cut it. Then a trip to my local quilt store to pick up some various reds/blue. I browsed thru some doll quilt books and came of with this traditional mini 9 patch design. It is a very traditional looking quilt, but I think it suits the fabric. I could just imagine some little girl playing with this quilt. I'm hoping my partner with be happy with it. I still need to label it and then I'm ready to ship it. I have collected some Raggedy Anne items in the past and the story behind the doll has touched me.

I think I will use this as this week's personal Doll Quilt Challenge also, you can read about those in my previous posts. Thank you for stopping by and visiting my blog.

Grace & Mercy

Every day we get to breathe is another day we don't deserve. Grace is getting what we don't deserve; mercy is not getting what we do deserve, and the increedible thing is: we get both. This is not only an important element to our relationship with God (we wouldn't have one without this); it's also an important part of our message to the world.

I wrote is in my notebook, not sure from where, so credit to ? about God.

Quilts quilted for clients

These are a few photos of quilts that my clients have made that I quilted. I enjoy working on each one of them and feel honored to do so. I love seeing each person's choice of color and pattern and some patterns over and over again with different fabrics.
